It's definitely love

 Love.

A simple word with a deep meaning.

There are so many definitions of love and they vary according to people and perceptions.

As far as I am concerned, this is my take on love.

Sometimes, we thought we will find happiness when we are loved by the one that we love.

In short, our happiness happens when our love is reciprocated.

But...but...but... had it ever crossed your mind that it is toooo risky to put your happiness on something which is not permanent. On a temporary human being just like you and me.

It is tooo risky to put something that should be eternal on something which is temporary. Of course, we, all of us want our happiness to be permanent to be eternal to be immortal. So, the logic is that something that we want to be permanent should also have a permanent basic or foundation.

Human, our very own nature is so much of flaws and when it comes to love, there will be so many expectations that will come together with it. When we put so many expectations on something or someone with so many flaws, the chances are that we will get dissappointed.

Therefore, the very best place that we should put our love, our first love, our priority is on our Rabb. Which He will promise us a true happiness without frustrations. Why? Because He is always beyond our expectations.  He is the most supreme and the most eternal.

When it comes to loving our Khaliq, the best part is that the love will always be reciprocated. Always with the guarantee of no dissappointments. The happiness that comes with it is almost surreal. When a believer falls in love with their Creator, everything happened or everything that will happen to them is always for a good reason. That is what they believe and that is what it really is. Everything that befalls them is for their sake. Why? Because their Creator also loves them. Deeply. The perks of being a true believer who are deeply in love and deeply loved by their Lord.

Loving our Rabb teaches us so many things. It teaches humility, it teaches us steadfastness, it teaches us about strength, most importantly, that love teaches us about acceptance.

When we love our Lord, we will become to aware of His supremacy of His greatfulness which is through them, we learn humility. We will become to aware that we are human of so many flaws and weaknesses. Far away from perfection. But, this doesn't mean that we should suffer from feeling of inferiorities. That is not the purpose. This awareness is for us to realize that we, as the abd, cannot stand on our own. We need our Rabb to fill the gap of our hopelessness. Through Him, we can perfect our imperfections and through His help we can achieve almost anything. For He is incapable of nothing. But we need to rely on our God for that to happen. We as a mortal being is nothing without our Creator. When we aware of our weaknesses, we can do something to improve those weaknesses but at the same time, we also know that we cannot be perfect. Because that is just not our nature. So, this realization will safe us from feeling of tons of dissappointment. If we did something with the apprehension that we are imperfect, if things didn't go as we planned, we will not be frustrated because we iniated it with the apprehension that we are imperfect so we expect the unexpected.

Steadfastness. Love always teaches us steadfastness. Some people say, they are willing to soar above the ocean of fire for the sake of love. We are willing to go through so many difficulties in the name of love. So does when it comes to our Lord. When we are so deeply in love with Him, we will become so steadfast that we are so inclined to accept whatever that He has destined for us be it in the form of hardship or ease. We will accept it willingly without no complaint at all. This kind of acceptance will give us a lesson about strength. It teaches us to be strong. The analogy is like this. Just imagine that you have a boyfriend and one day you need to go through a very bad traffic just for the sake of picking him up from the airport after a very very long distance relationship.  And I am sure, you are willing to go through all that bad traffic without no hassles. Why? Because you love him. Even if he put you under that difficulty, you will have no complaints because you love him and you cannot wait to meet him after so long time being far away from each other. The same thing goes when you love your Rabb. You will be willing to go through even the hardest battle that He put you through and that also without any whine. Why? Because you are deeply in love with your Lord and you cannot wait to meet Him on the day of judgement. Just like what the sixth verse of Suratul Inshiqaq depicted.

[then,] O man - thou [that] hast, verily, been toiling towards thy Sustainer in painful toil - then shalt thou meet Him

So, that is the power of a short word we called love. It becomes more powerful when the foundation is permanent. Learn to love your Lord first and then you will know how to love His abd. Our Lord is eternally eternal. So does our love towards Him. Learn your priority first when it comes to love because love is so powerful that it can destroy even a Roman empire.

" When you learn to love your Lord first,

He will sent you a prince to complete your fairy tales "

So, dear little sisters don't go chasing for your prince charming first instead know your priorities. If you are still a student, study should comes first. Don't waste your energy and time on datings and couplings. While you are still single, please fulfill your time seeking knowledge be it about akhlak, tasawwuf, fekah or parenting for when the time comes, you will be a spouse with knowledge and a mother with understandings. The best thing about a woman is that the way she presents herself to the world. How she preserved her dignity. Don't do something that will humiliate yourself in the named of love. It is not worth it. Be a wise woman with haya, compassion and humility. Trust me, your other half will come when it is the time. No need to hurry things. God knows what best for you and when it is best for you to have it. Love your Lord and love yourself first and biiznillah when it is the time you will find your better half and hopefully he is a man who is also so deeply in love with his Rabb just like you. 😉

Lots of love,

Kak Mina.
